Great stuff.
jgoins Report This Comment Date: September 13, 2006 09:47PM
How is this helping keep us terrorized? It says nothing about terrorism.

Dear Sir: You are far, far too literal.
The whole "color coding" "threat level" bullshit keeps
people terrorized.... AND does =nothing= to counter terrorism, because by
publically announcing "Today is threat level Orange, we're watching the
bridges!!" on the news basically announces to any potential sleeper cells
that those days are bad to pull something off.
Israel, for example, would never have a "color coded threat index"...
What point does it serve? I ask you...

ha! i like this one! more people should see this
jgoins Report This Comment Date: September 14, 2006 11:40AM
But this is not the threat level for terrorism. Even if it was the color codes
do not keep people terrorized, only people keep themselves terrorized. Even if
our national threat leve were red I would continue on as usual and I am sure
there are many many more like me who would not be afraid because of it. I do
not think the majority of the people in this nation are cowards and let stuff
like this frighten them. Read what is on this chart and you will see it is not
the national threat level for terrorism.

well said, hell i'd go about my business even if it were raining planes on ery
landmark... fuck, shit happens! prolly our biggest threat is a comet swinging
out the cyper (not sure of its spelling) belt completely unforeseen and smashing
us all to bits... who gives a crap we all gonna die anyways sooner or later, so
fuck it, live now while ya still can

When one accepts his own mortality he can then live life to it's fullest.
People who worry about death don't have much time to live. It wouldn't bother
me if the entire world was at war because I know I can protect my family and I
will live until I die.
