i've seen floyd 5 times. they are also my top 5 all time kickass show/lightshow
ever!
#6 fav. all time was Jethro Tull 1/2 stage and packed.
the stage was a giant viking ship. when Ian Anderson did Aqualung hecame out on
stage wearing a long raggedy ass raincoat, barefoot, sittin' on a stool jamming
like a fool!

Now I'm really envious fossil ! I always wanted to see Jethro Tull and your
description of Ians performance of Aqualung is exactly one of the reasons
!!!!
Before one of the huge computer HD failures I experienced several years ago I
had DLed several Tull videos and it was pretty obvious Ian Anderson was quite
the showman
One that really surprised me was an Elton John concert I went to back in the
early 80s. Though I always loved his old stuff and felt like I'd be bored with
the newer material, he was another great showman !
Another really good one was Todd Rungren whom I saw a cuppla times ... awesome
and a real value for the entertainment I found in his shows
One of the last shows I went to that was really great was Joe Jackson at the old
Bronco Bowl (I know that tells you how long ago that was buddy). He had
everyone up in the aisles and dancin like fools !

I saw Stray Cats at Reunion in 1983 (I think). I paid about $6 or $7 each for
the ticket. That was back when an hour or two of work (as a teenager) could buy
a concert ticket, and you could fill up the gas tank on the car and take a date
to the concert (and get something to eat) for the wages earned on one shift as a
lifeguard.
25 years later, i am making 10 x the salary and it still takes an hour or two of
work to buy a concert ticket (Now in the AA center).
