A perfect example of why all our ocean going containerized shipments are
HEAVILY insured! I've known people in business who've been bankrupted by having
purchased machinery abroad and had it shipped and lost at sea with them still
owing for it becuase they failed to insure it during transit.
Sometimes a disaster at sea like the above will lead to them simply unstrapping
the offending containers and lettin 'em fall overboard in an effort to save the
ship from sinking, especially in rough seas. If your load is part of such a
calamity and uninsured, you're just fucked

Always insure your loads against disater; use birth control.
