I don't think there's anthing as versatile as the 350 Chev.
In Australia it has always been the upgrade motor because lots of (GM) Holdens came with the 308. Also it had to compete against the Ford 351.
Anyway that's all old stuff these days but I still like a blown V8 but can't bring myself to waste the money just yet.
