I think they added the logo for the same reason they deny requests to remove
pictures.
Once you upload something here you are basically donating that image to the site
with your name as uploader and the stats recorded and all that.
Correct me if I am wrong Pulse and DK but I think you added the logo so anyone
who uses it after it's been uploaded here knows where it comes from. 90% of the
other image hosting sites also add a logo or some kind of unique watermark to
identify where the image was taken from.
If it was your image then you have a copy without the logo on it, if someone
else uploaded it try contacting them via PM and see if they will give you a copy
without the logo if you really want one that badly.

Putting the logo on them signifies that plus613 now owns them and holds the
copyright which is not true for plus or porn613 or even the majority of
uploaders. The copyright belongs to the person who originally created the image
not anyone else who might have downloaded it from some other site. Plus and
pron613 may run into trouble with this practice sometime in the future. I
personally have had problems with this on my celebrity website I used to own. I
was sued by Sophia Loren over the mere mention of her on my site and lost money
on that deal.

I think, and you can correct me if I'm wrong DK, Pulse, that the purpose for
adding the logo is not to claim ownership, but to get the word out about this
site, generating more people, perhaps even generate more revenue. The logo
doesn't bother me unless it interferes with the picture. Doesn't seem to happen
too often.

It doesn't bother me either but if an owner of a photo sees it on this site
with the logo on it his lawyers will have no problem in court proving copyright
infringement. You might better consult a lawyer about this before it becomes an
issue with all the lawsuits happening to internet sites. Many people nowadays
see this kind of thing as quick money and are bringing lawyers to bear in an
effort to make money and they don't care who it hurts.

Incidentally we never ignored people's comments, there was just years we were
both super busy and when people actually did post images and comments we
couldn't keep up.
It's a lot easier now. Btw this site has never had revenue. These days I own the
servers it runs on but my estimation would be $10k+ running costs over the years
and less than $100 income when we did run ads.
Even porn site makes $0, but at least the running costs are shared with here
