I'm going to say probably just natural die off if those huge buildings in the background are a pig farm. They probably have several thousand head, thus this probably represents a pretty normal loss for a few days. This is probably just the dumping area until they are properly disposed of.

when I was a teen I lived near a turkey farm and worked there on the nights they loaded out, there were always some birds that didn't make it to the trucks...
