B-17G to be exact.
"Nine-O-Nine" of the 91st Bomber Group, scourge of the Luftwaffe
during 1944-1945, and still flying 65 years later.

I've seen this bird fly. I've paid silly money to fly on a B-24 Liberator, would
probably add one of my nuts to that for a ride on this one.

Actually it was the Avro Lancaster. Take a look at the numbers, 16 000 pound
payload, add the number of planes built, sorties flown, damage done...
