It doesn't change the past it just shows movement forward in the right
direction. Islam is still killing in the name of religion today in many parts
of the world. How many Christians can you point to today who say convert or
die? Just point in the direction of the middle east and you will find tons of
convert or die and honor killings in the name of Islam.

I'll go along with the swastikas incongruity in this image and even agree upon
the killings in the name of the Christians god in the past.
However, as a confirmed atheist I'll also relate that no single religion
concerns me more than does the Islamic faith in current times, and afterall,
isn't today the day we find most relevant? Any and all claims I read
continually of this being the "religion of peace" are continually
confounded by the actions of its followers, so much so that I find the concept
less than fanciful, and in truth, much more as a concealment tactic of its
practices than anything based in reality.

The past is only important in that we learn from it. What religion today is
more violent in it's practice? What religion has killed more people to date in
modern times and what religion is likely to kill more in the near future? Of
course, like I have always said no religion in itself has ever killed anyone now
or in the past. It is the people who practice that religion who kill people and
commit violent acts and it is the people who practice Islam who currently kill
more people and commit more violent acts than any other religion today.

Hitler was not a Christian, he imitated one when it suited him.
The Nazis invented 'Positive Christianity', where the religion is shaped by a
'test of strength' (murder included), formed and shaped by an exercise of
strength. Thus over 700 Lutheran clergy were murdered, bashed, imprisoned or
libeled, cowering the rest. They did the same to law in Germany, with 'Positive
Law'.
