Yeah we're just having a few people around for a BBQ and some drinks tonight,
won't be a wild and crazy one. It was 36 today (about 97f), I'm stuffed already
Still, could be worse. A few years ago I was at my future in-law's place cooking
a BBQ and it was over 40 at midnight, humid as hell. Gah.
So yeah, party well peeps, but party safe. I'll see you on the flip side.

Happy new year everyone. This is the best time of year here, it'll be about 59F
(15C) around midnight though I'll likely be fast asleep (if the neighbors are
quiet) as I have to be up early. For my friends down under on plus613 the
climate here is similar to that of Brisbane, so right now we're like Brisbane in
June. Here's a handy site I use pretty often because I seem to have accumulated

Seen in 2012. Now 1.5 hours into it. It feels muh the same as 2011 so far -
we'll see what happens in it.

I've always had some kind of contact with someone down under too, especially
since Al Gore invented the internet
I'm glad to hear some folks are being smart and staying home to get blottoed. I
plan to sit on my ass, have a few beers and turn on the
scanner for entertainment.

I slept through the new year and awoke this morning just like every other day.
I can expect to have half the year trying to remember to write 2012 as the date
on things instead of 2011.

As I expected I was sound asleep at 11:59 but my neighbors' fireworks and
whooping and hollering let me know when it was midnight.

My neighbors were quiet as well as the Elk's club 100 yards away. Nothing even
disturbed my dogs from their sleep. I've been running a voice recorder every
night recording the ghosts in my house and even the ghost didn't celebrate.
