I like veggie burgers if they are cooked right. Most places don't though.

For fat snake, why bother, a burger is a bit of an animal, IE. its flesh or
flesch!!
If you don't like tasting meat, especially a fur-burger

, go suck a lettuce leaf

I happen to like properly cooked veggie burgers. I also happen to like properly
cooked hamburgers. I'm not substituting one for the other.

I guess you don't know what you're reading then. None of those ingredients are
anything but natural foods and spices.
jgoins Report This Comment Date: May 26, 2012 09:56AM
True Blah but how can that taste at all like a burger?
Hp Report This Comment Date: May 26, 2012 10:42AM
Yep, all natural foods, I'll pop down the shop and buy them ..................
Oh, they don't stock them, I'll have to go down to the laboratory and request
they produce them.
Veggie burgers ok for pussies I suppose, but I'd rather eat the pussy

It doesn't taste like a hamburger, it tastes like a veggie burger. I eat meat
and love a good hamburger too.

Given a choice between a veggie burger and a by god beef hamburger, that's not
even a choice .... I'll take the beef, thanks.
But ... in the vein of veggi stuff here's a lil concoction I recently whipped up
out outta the garden that's awesome: take 6 jalapenos, 4 onions and 3-4
cucumbers shredded in the food processor, take a flour tortilla and slater on a
lil mayo and shredded cheese, add 2-3 heaping teaspoons of the shredded veggie
mix, sprinkle on a lil black pepper and seasoned salt and it's CHOW TIME
But .... addin a lil ground beef or some cooked/shredded pork would be awesome
too. Bein a confirmed carnivore I LIKE MEAT

I don't care if it has camel nipples in it...
... if it tastes good I'm into it.

Well I like peppers and cucumber but not raw. They have to be pickled in some
way even it it is just vinegar. All my veggies have to be cooked. I don't care
about the nutrients it is all about the taste. About the only veggie I like raw
is onions.

Some veggies I like better raw and some better cooked. I can't handle onions
anymore especially not raw. Instant gut bomb for me. It's too bad because I love
the flavor. The best burger to me is a nice juicy fully cooked patty on a bun
with nothing but tomato, lettuce and pickles, no ketchup, mayo, special sauce or
anything. If the meat is done right it doesn't need any more wet stuff on it for
me. I love salads, often with no dressing at all. Everyone is different. I try
not to limit myself to any particular kinds of food, I pretty much like em all
as long as my gut can handle it. I don't think getting good nutrition is that
big a deal either. It's common sense to me. Also trusting what your body wants
is a good thing I think.

you forgot the bacon and cheese
jgoins Report This Comment Date: May 28, 2012 11:09AM
Onions do tend to repeat on me but I really love them so I make sure I have gas
x on hand.
Always have to have cheese on my burger and occasionally bacon but you are right
a properly cooked burger really need no liquids just lettuce tomato onions and
pickles. I just wish burger joints would season the meat the way they used to
in the old days.

I can do em with or without cheese. There are still some mom & pop
restaurants around that cook things right. There's one in Waldport that makes
just about the best burgers I've had. I asked her what she does different than
others and she said, "Not much, I just don't smash the patty while it's
cooking. That squeezes juices out."
jgoins Report This Comment Date: May 29, 2012 10:29AM
True no smushing and they must be seasoned at least with salt and pepper which
most fast food chains seem to never do anymore.
