i saw a 90's NSX a few months ago at a used car dealer across form one of the
auctions i was working. i had to go check it out. a guy comes out and told me he
had just bought it a day or so ago. the car was in great shape and pretty cool
so i asked what he wanted for it. he said 60,000, i went back to work. it looked
just like this one: [

I really like the look of them. And I've considered buying an old NSX for
years. They're a bit too 80s for me, but I would like one (and that link pretty
much explains why).
It was what I loved about the Supra. You could blast it around all day, every
day, and the thing would beg to go harder for longer. I miss that.
That said there was a hell of a different driving in the UK vs here. My license
would last seconds here if I owned one.

Around 1990 I worked as a volunteer for a Trans Am Series race held here in
Addison, one of the more upscale suburbs.
Had to be there at 7 am in the morning and takin a toll road most of the way
there allowed for some good high speed cruisin on the drive in as it was before
the mornin rush hour hit and though the speed limit was like 60, until you got
over about 80 the cops would typically let you slide. This was in my Capri days
and with a really good radar detector I tended to bounce around between 80 and
100 most mornings, more regulated by what traffic would allow than any worry
about gettin caught.
However, on the 2nd mornin comin in as I got within about a mile of the exit the
radar detector started goin nuts and I nailed the brakes and slowed to like 65.
Quickly rolled up on a new NSX sittin sandwiched between 5 cop cars. Dude was
outta the car and had a pretty pitiful look on his face as I rolled by so I
expect they had nailed him pretty hard ... sigh.
BTW, just to clarify NSXs are Acuras, not Hondas as shown in the title

that's like saying a Lexus is not a Toyota or an Infiniti is not a Nissan.

Any self respecting NSX owner should be pissed about anyone sayin he's drivin a
Honduh. Equating the division that stamps out Civics with the one that crafts
NSXs is just wrong on more than a few levels

And from the back...
Concept. Not far from it.

Kim: How many F1 world championships and race wins have been powered by an
Acura engine?
I can see Ayrton Senna now, blasting around in his McLaren-Acura.
It's a Honda. Live with it

Look real close at the badge on the nose of this car. If that's a Honda badge
I'll bend right over and kiss my own ass!
I doubt Senna would have given a shit if they had called his engine a Donald
Duck McQuacker, so long as it got him over the line ahead of the rest of the
pack

Meh.
I drive an Audi and I have no problem with it being a Volkswagen in every detail
except the engine and Alacantra trim. I paid $170k for the badge. I know it and
it does not bother me. So few companies left everything is a subsiduary just ask
Range Rover owners.

Which Audi?
I bought my wife a Merc A250 recently. Love it, it's a fun little car to blast
around in. I want to buy a BMW M2.
woberto Report This Comment Date: July 10, 2017 07:17AM
I should clarify that was in 2004. Audi S6 last of the N/A V8's.
I took it with me to Melbourne 2005 & 2006 and terrorised Elwood in it with
my NSW plates.
It has quite seriously been at my Mums house since 2007 and I have had several
company cars in the meantime.
I just took it back full time and am loving it. Pity it's only worth $10k now
even though it is immaculate.
My next car will be a 3nd hand M4 and I will start looking for that towards the
end of next year.

Feel free to give me the Audi, I'll grudgingly accept

i ran a BMW M1 in the Mustang and was surprised at how fast that little car
was. he stayed nose to nose 'till i hit 3rd gear..double clutched her and pulled
away fairly easy @ 65 or 70.
wait, sorry, it was a 1 series not an M1
