The worst part is the media coverage here is Australia, it’s appalling.
As there are no real journo’s left, they struggle to even know the difference
between satire & parody when describing his works.
They skirt around his views of trans morons because it doesn’t fit their
narrative.
And they censor old clips and skits where they should be his lack of a filter.

I'm going to say it: It's good to see a man who presents as a woman still use
the "he/him" pronoun.
We had spates of Dame Edna in America, and not so much him or his other
characters (or without searching for them), so the obit was educational. Not the
full story, as the Aussies here say, but more than we in America were aware of
that he wasn't a one-trick pony though we here only saw that one trick.
Was not aware he was 89, so indeed... a good run and a storied career.
(And if you are disgusted that the news reporting there glosses over a lot of
points people are aware of, consider here where only
one point is ever
going to be presented.)

He had an award named after him at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Until a couple of fat, ugly & unfunny dykes cancelled him.
And when I say fat I meant fat and when I say ugly I mean fucking ugly.

Lotsa great comedians/comediennes have played around with steppin to the other
side of the gender fence to get a laugh, usually while pokin fun at their own
gender. Seems one of the biggest sacrifices havin been laid upon the altar of
political correctness is indeed comedy itself, which is pretty fuckin sad
