It's fundamentally true, except with different apps.

I have modernized most of the infra and middleware stack though so today the "bash script from 1997" is PHP 7. Which in itself was upgraded with a lot of pain from PHP5.

I got so close to getting it running on PHP8. Everything except the gallery worked.

Error: BASIC.

I remember how interesting it was for 'if/then' to have the additional 'and/or'.

Regards the code, all four of my last uploads (today) come back error 500. All are Australiana.

You're just too quick and too anonymouse.
The thumbs server works instantly (well almost) but the gallery take a while).
If you had a username it is almost instant and yo can comment on your own upload immediately like I do to annoy people.

Just did a test, both from remote and local uploads and both worked fine.

If you got a 500 server error maybe something short term.
