I hit one with my car once. Fortunately it was my old Falcon so it just bounced
up beneath it rather than smashing the splitter like it'd do now. Still, felt a
bit bad.

It was a rabbit pulse, they're a pest. Instead of feeling bad, blame the top
had set in Brisbane who imported them, and foxes.

In the 1930s to 1950s, there were advertisements in the classifieds of various
magazines requesting breeders for frogs. You wonder why anyone would do that
until you notice that the ad was placed by the American Frog Canning Company...
apparently they were outsourcing to get enough frog legs for ritzy
restaurants.
