If this is accurate, then I do wonder in part if that's due more to medical technology and detection rates vs direct cancer levels in Europe/US/Australia.

I'm not sure about the rest, but Australia in particular has a lot of public cancer detection programs in place. They've recently moved the bowel cancer program to 45+ rather than 50+ that it always used to be, as an example.
