This would be very helpful on the front end but on the back-end services will suffer, particularly in an area like I live where people over 65 have been the main contributors to the tax base since the WWII generation began retiring. There is a push for this here in Florida as well, but I wonder how the difference would be made up. Get ready to pay higher sales tax and/or see younger people's property taxes increase, or watch roads, fire service, policing and other services go to hell.
