Yeah, we're all kind of fucked and it's not the fault of just the people who thought putting this asshole back in office was a good idea. It's primary season and where I live the TV ads for the "Republican" candidates are all slamming "the radical left" and swearing allegiance to their dear leader Trump while nationally their party bigwigs are talking about communism like it's 1952. The truth is that, by and large, the Democratic party is centrist and compared to many of our European cousins it's actually right of center. The actual far left and communists here are a small minority and the "Republicans" should thank them for refusing to vote for Trump or Harris and handing the election to the far right, dictator wannabe Trump by a narrow margin. Had they voted for Harris and other Democrats the cost of living would've continued to ease, there would not be a war causing prices to climb and threatening to expand, and U.S. streets would not be polluted with trigger happy, masked, paramilitary thugs.
