Per The Texas Reporter

The United States is NOT a safe place — not for visitors, not for legal residents, not for anybody with these lunatics running things.

Sarah Shaw — a New Zealand woman who’s lived in Washington state for over three years — was legally in the U.S. on a combo visa:
• Employment visa (through her job counseling at-risk youth in a maximum security juvenile facility)
• I-360 visa (for survivors of domestic abuse)

✅ Her visa renewal confirmation letter had arrived — but only one part of the combo had been processed. It was a simple administrative snafu.

On July 24, she drove her two oldest children to Vancouver airport so they could visit their grandparents in New Zealand. When she tried to re-enter the U.S. with her six-year-old son, ICE snatched them — putting them in an unmarked white van, confiscating her phone, and hauling them thousands of miles away to a Texas detention center.

They’ve been locked in a room from 8 PM to 8 AM, forced to wear prison clothes, isolated as the only English speakers besides staff, and treated like criminals — all while she has dedicated her career to helping some of America’s most vulnerable kids.

ICE could have granted humanitarian parole. Instead, they chose to traumatize a domestic violence survivor and her child over a paperwork glitch.
