In winter the Bald Cypress trees are, well, bald, one of the few trees, maybe the only ones, to lose their leaves in the mild Florida winters. This is my pic from 2017. That was a "fun" day: my old kayak sprang a leak and I almost sank in the cold water before I made it back to the launch.
