The area I live in has had a large percentage of people over the age of 65 since even before I moved here in 1980 and I've aged into that group. Until The Villages development was built in central Florida this century the county where I live had the highest per capita of senior citizens in the nation for decades. Sudden medical emergencies cause quite a few traffic accidents and in the last few weeks there have been two of them resulting in the death of the driver. I witnessed a low speed one myself about 40 years ago. I was sitting stopped in traffic at a red light, looked over to my right and there was an old guy sitting behind the wheel shaking. I thought to myself, "That guy shouldn't be driving," and seconds later he rolled into the back of the car in front of him.
