A couple of image uploads have annoyed me lately. This was one of them, and
there was a plus613 logo one a little while ago.
The watermark messed up the image.. like I think it has here.
Long story short, according to logs this was originally a transparent background
.PNG file; the adding the watermark removes the transparency, and the way the
watermark works is it picks the pixel colour in the middle of where the
watermark will go, closest to it, and creates the watermark 'bar' of that
colour; which works well on eg solid colours, or eg.. images with water in it or
whatever, but can get things a bit wrong otherwise, but still better than
slapping it in the middle of the image like it used to.
Anyway; because there's no colour nearby on a transparent image, it choses
either white or black, like this one.
Long story short; this annoyed me so now I BELIEVE that I've fixed it so if an
image with transparency (png, gif, webp) is uploaded, it will no longer destroy
the transparency in the image itself, and will create a transparent watermark.
Tiny things annoy me sometimes. There's probably been a dozen of these uploaded,
ever... but now at least the next one won't be broken
