care by helping out all these other countries that need financial help of some

Sad to say, the bad old USA is second bottom of the list when it comes to
foreign aid assistance .. after Portugal.
Top of the list are Norway, Sweden, Netherlands giving 0.8% - 0.9% of their
Gross National Income as Foreign Aid ... down at the bottom comes in the USA at
0.22%
[2005, OECD figures].
Let me guess .. you just assumed that the US gave more than anyone else didn't
you. You didn't bother to check. But hey! Don't let the facts get in the way of
what you want to believe. You go right ahead thinking that you live in the most
generous nation. Even though it's the least.

large, but generosity is only relative to what you have to offer. Being large
but only giving a very small percentage is not generous. It is tight arse.
And the US was not even the most giving even in terms of toals dollars. From the
