For GAK the pedant.
"On April 3, 2020, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo signed New York's
2021 Executive Budget into law. The Executive Budget added § 213-d to New
York's Civil Practice Law and Rules to reduce the statute of limitations for
bringing an action to recover a medical debt from six (6) to three (3)
years."

Statues of limitation or not, the guy has attacked and groped numerous women.
The rape charge did not stick because the legal definition involves penetration,
but the verdict involving sexual assault stuck. You're welcome to say this was
political, but at the same time, he should have never been in a position to run
for office or evaded the numerous charges by women he groped either for all
these years.
Setting aside the unconsenting, we also have the consenting. The women he
cheated on wives with, some of whom themselves became wives that got cheated on,
and the women he paid to get his whistle tuned by.

"THIS IS A POLITICAL ATTACK REEEE!!"
Uh, yeah, of course. If you decide to become a politician, your opponents are
going to attack you. What did you think was going to happen?

woberto Report This Comment Date: May 12, 2023 12:38AM
Strueth this is why the left can't meme.
Firstly, the right don't REEEE that is specially reserved for the left.
Secondly the twit that posted that was now REEEing as can clearly be seen by the
pre-text "Did you Know".
So it falls into the category of a public service announcement but to understand
that you need to understand how the MSM coverage of this type of story works and
thereby creating the need for a public service announcement.

The reality is that any and everyone has things in their past they're ashamed,
embarrassed or guilty of, myself included, so, to put a fine point on it all
"let the 1st completely guiltless person cast the 1st stone" ... and
no stone was ever cast.
President Trump did a great job of running the country, pissin off the oh-so
entrenched political establishment, rebuilding segments of industry thought to
have been lost to other places in the world by minimizing the regulations that
have stymied industry and innovation for years, bringing unemployment to the
lowest levels since record keeping of such things, slowing down the
international anti-American shit talkers ... all while under full attack from
every democrat and even most members within his own party.
I appreciated the balls on the man, the way he stood up for America and his
ability to continually confront his detractors threats and bogus BS without
batting an eye.
All that said, had he simply let his works stand for themselves and kept more
publicly quiet, he'd have been better off.
One last thought ... all but a few of the "political scandals" and
accusations made against him, though blown up to fantastic heights by a fawning
liberalist media outlets and a seemingly never ending stream of political hacks
and underlings have all been debunked, disproven or eventually brought to light
as incorrect or even outright lies, which the self same media and detractors
simply deny or refuse to acknowledge as they choose instead to swiftly move on
to the next distortion of the truth.

Mrkim: While I dispute a lot of what you said, the only detail I seek to say
this about that is:
While most of the things said about Trump have NOT been debunked, and most of
the things Trump has said HAVE been debunked (there, that's better), let's have
a look at how many lawsuits Trump filed that were thrown out or he lost in
court. Due to there being credibility to the people he was trying to discredit.
The image refers to one he LOST.

I can't believe I am reading comments by an anon but the standard is higher I
suppose.
The average punter and the rest of the MSM seem to be getting confused by what a
civil suit is.
Criminal charges are usually dismissed because no result is likely and they urge
(in the US) both parties to take it up in a civil suit.
You can NOT be "charged" or "convicted" in a civil suit,
even one that has a jury empaneled.
The Don won't be paying her any money, he's a spiteful cunt, he would rather
keep paying his lawyers.

this.
Statue? FFS did they let some US tech spell check that?

What it boils down to for me is that all this posturing and political crap
around the presidency in the US has almost exactly zero to do with me. Who the
president of the US is has an impact on the world, so therefore has an impact on
me, but how they got there doesn't affect me at all. I'm happy to stay out of
it.
The next president looks like it's a bit of a Hobson's choice. A 75+ year old
white rich male. Do you want the egotist, potential sexual predator, or the
probably senile one?
woberto Report This Comment Date: May 16, 2023 01:08AM
I hear ya GAK, it's more than ever a 2 party system over there.
Probably does not matter who the candidate is, voters gonna vote for their party
regardless.
Although that Obama dude did cause a swing in voting, so anything's possible I
guess.
