I've always preferred the looks of Ford over Chevys..
My dad had a few of them.. one was a '51 that was several different colors until
he painted it himself with a paintbrush.. john deere green with black
trim..actually looked pretty nice, so long as you were at least 10 feet away
from it lol
I had a '77 F150 with a 351M, which is a shit motor. I got ahold of a '70 Boss
302 and a C4 transmission.. put it in that truck and god damn that thing went
fast
Still driving my 2013 F150 with no plans to replace it...

Chevy pick-ups, nah.
The '57 Chev could have lent itself more to the truck designs, that would have
helped.
But the F100 dominates, even today.
Modern ones are not exactly pretty.
However they are simple and yet iconic.

I don't like any of them. I think it's the era you grew up in sort of thing. I
think the
vast majority of cars from the 50s-70s are hideous. Especially
(sorry guys) American cars. I just don't like big cars.
In the Ford vs GM (Holden) I've always been on the Ford side; my first 2 cars
were a '72 Fairmont then a '97 Falcon. I loved that Falcon..
I've also owned a Barina and a Cruze from the GM side. But it's not the same.
I'd like to have had a Clubsport or something, but that'll never happen now.
Also had a Lancer; hated it.. two Supras; loved them.. couple of Mercs; they've
been great.. umm.. oh, a Camry I technically owned.. it was everything you'd
expect. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
I need some more cars, especially because I barely drive these days. I'm
considering a Macan or something, wife wants something bigger and I wouldn't
have to drive it.

I've had good luck with both Ford and Chevy. I bought a 20 year old Ford with
the 4.9 liter straight six that ran like a top until the whole rest of the truck
- which was beat to hell when I got it - was shot. I still prefer my binders, I
was born & raised in a binder building town.
